This VERY compact capacitor is made by Voltronics Corporation of Denville , New Jersey . It is rated at less than 2.5 pf minimum, to greater than 70 pf maximum (samples measured at 2.4 pf - 76 pf.) They are rated at 3,000 volts working, and 6,000 volts peak.
Most of the samples we Hi Pot tested will test good up to 15 KV so the rating is VERY conservative
Maximum RF current is not specified, but Voltronics engineers stated that the capacitor will handle 10 amps RMS continuous at 200 Mhz with no problem. (Maximum rated operating temperature is 125 degrees C, 257 degrees F).
This is the non-magnetic version (thus the "NM" prefix) of the "NT series". The "E" in the part number denotes "extended shaft". No ferrous metals used in this capacitor. PTFE (teflon) dielectric on outer body. Piston is non-rotating for long life and no tuning noise. Screw head does not move in and out. Front contact surface for chassis mount is GOLD plated. Measures 3 inches long front shoulder to rear shoulder, and 3.75 inches long overall, including shaft. Shaft is .121 inches diameter, and 1/2 inch long, and has slot in end for screwdriver adjustment if desired. Note that turning shaft clockwise INCREASES capacitance, and turning shaft counter-clockwise DECREASES capacitance (opposite from most styles). Maximum diameter (at PTFE outer insulator) is .70 inches. Capacitor has a .245 inch diameter threaded sleeve surrounding shaft for mounting on panel. Gold plated nut and lock washer are supplied. Weight is a tiny 57 grams (2 ounces!). Supplied from factory with 20 gauge tinned wires soldered to body for easy electrical connection. (Excellent candidate for lower-power loop antenna applications?)
