Collins Commercial 1KW Watt Meter & Directional Coupler with 100 & 1000 Watt Scales Forward and Reflected

This Collins Commercial Watt Meter & Directional Coupler, has a 100 watt and 1000 watt scale for both forward and reflected power.
It uses the same coupler (with "N" connectors) as the 312B4 and 312B-5 station consoles however, the meter is larger (and easier to read!) and the coupler is calibrated for use with the larger meter.
I had this directional coupler tested and calibrated by my Service Technician so it is now in factory specifications.
The meter in this unit measures about 3 X 3 Inches where as the meter in the Collins 312B-4/5 measures about 2 1/4 inches.
This watt meter also have a speaker built in which can be used if connected through the large plug in connector on the back. (you can also simply put in a tap to the speaker leads inside but I did not want to modify the unit) It is a small speaker inside the unit but it sounds great! There is a switch on the front to turn off the speaker and at the same time switches the audio load into a termination of resistors.
This particular meter also has circuitry for a transmitter alarm of some type. The meter functions fine and I am not sure how this alarm system was used.
This model also has provisions to add an antenna switch on the back. It has the switch on the front panel with the indent inside and the shaft sticks out the back so a switch can be added.
The coupler is mounted on existing screws and it can be used as it is or you can add wire and remote the coupler in a convenient location.
This meter is in an aluminum case and this one is painted black. I think it may have been made to slip into another case.
The Black front really goes well with the Collins A-line Gear but it will work with any HF Transmitter.
This is a rare find and a great useful Collins item for your Shack!
