Ken PowellChief Executive Officer
A seasoned leader and 20-year veteran in the technology industry, Ken sets the vision and strategy for Marketworks and oversees its daily operations. He brings extensive experience in managing organizations that deliver high impact software solutions to global markets.
Prior to Marketworks, Ken served as CEO and President of Riverlogic, a provider of business performance optimizations solutions and as President and COO of EXE technologies, a publicly-traded supply chain company. Ken also held senior management roles with BroadVision, McAfee, Oracle, and Apple in sales, services and marketing capacities. Ken received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Boston University.
Doug HadawayChief Financial Officer
Doug brings a proven track record of success in managing high-growth technology companies with 19 years of strategy and finance experience. Doug's expertise includes public and private offerings of equity and debt, buy and sell side of mergers and acquisitions, international business and public company investor relations. During his tenure in the technology space, Doug has played an integral role in successfully raising capital in excess of $200 million and acquisitions aggregating in excess of $500 million of combined market value.
Doug most recently served as CFO of Synchrologic, a developer of software for mobile computing devices, which experienced significant growth during his tenure and was acquired by Intellisync Corporation in December 2003. He was also CFO of Netzip, a pioneer in file compression and download utility software, which was acquired by RealNetworks, Inc. in January 2000. Doug was also CFO of Link2Gov, an internet enabler of electronic commerce between government and citizens, and served in various strategy and finance roles at Premiere Technologies during rapid growth in those organizations.
Paul LundyChief Marketing Officer
Paul's 15 years of experience acquiring and managing large customer relationships in Fortune 500 and entrepreneurial environments provides Marketworks with key leadership in the area of sales and marketing.
Paul began his career as an account executive with McCann-Erickson working with a number of consumer packaged goods clients. Paul became a Vice-President at McCann on the Coca-Cola business responsible for advertising and promotional development. In 1990, McCann moved Paul to Paris where he was responsible for the Coca-Cola relationship in France. Three years later he was promoted to McCann-Erickson's European headquarters in London where he managed the Coca-Cola account across Europe.
Following this experience, Paul established a UK-based beverage-marketing company and introduced Lone Star Beer to Europe. Paul re-positioned the brand as a premium lager and established a brewing and distribution network among independent beer distributors in the European Community.
Several years later, The Coca-Cola Company hired Paul as Director on the Blockbuster Entertainment business and later named him Director of the 7-Eleven business worldwide. Paul spent 3 years with Coca-Cola building soft drink sales through these very important channels.
Daris McCulloughChief Operating Officer
Daris brings over 13 years of technology and operational expertise to the Marketworks team. Daris has a strong track record of delivering operational and technology-based solutions for both Fortune 500 and early stage companies. He has implemented and grown complex technologies, software solutions, and operations for companies such as GE Medical Systems, GE Power Systems, GE Capital, and EDS.
Since joining Marketworks in 2001, Daris has been responsible for managing the ASP-based service infrastructure during a time of rapid growth. Under his leadership Marketworks customers have grown monthly online sales by a multiple of greater than 25 times. Marketworks has created an industry leading on-line solution by implementing best-of-class processes, methodologies, and infrastructure. The company has leveraged Six Sigma techniques to create a truly customer centric organization that systematically drives continuous improvement.
Daris graduated with distinction from the University of Kentucky with a BS in Electrical Engineering. He received his MBA from Northwestern University's J.L. Kellogg school of business with a focus in operations and technology.
 Jerry AblanChief Technologist
Jerry Ablan was introduced to Marketworks when he created AuctionSpy.net, which was acquired by Marketworks in October of 1999. Jerry was the first technologist to develop a multi-site auction monitor that parsed and aggregated data from multiple auction sites.
Jerry was co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Mindbuilder Group in Chicago, IL from 1997 to January 2000. He helped grow Mindbuilder from 2 employees to 25 with multi-million dollar revenues in just 2½ years. Before that, Jerry was the Manager of Internet/Intranet Application Development for the Chicago Board Options Exchange where he developed the real-time data display system for the entire trading floor in Unix, and was technical/project lead for the rewrite of the back office systems from COBOL to PowerBuilder.
Jerry has extensive experience building and managing high-transaction systems. Additionally, Jerry's multi-functional experience includes project management; end-user support; documentation (from project charters through end-user documentation, implementation and fallback procedures, etc.); Internet systems (web and email) and firewall development; and C++, VB, HTML and Java programming. Jerry is extremely experienced in both Unix and NT environments. He has co-authored or contributed to over 10 books on web and Java application development and is considered an industry expert on the subject.
 Kyle AntcliffVice President, Corporate Development & International
Kyle brings 13 years of general management and technology experience to the Marketworks team from The Procter & Gamble Company, Andersen Consulting and, more recently, from several early-stage companies.
After graduating with Distinction from Purdue University's School of Technology, Kyle spent four years at Procter & Gamble where he was involved in early supply chain initiatives with customers such as Wal-Mart. He then spent four years at Andersen Consulting where he worked with clients to define and implement a range of strategic initiatives. Kyle earned his MBA degree from Northwestern University and then re-joined Andersen, where he was involved in the development of a corporate new business opportunity. Subsequently, he co-founded FusePath, a venture fund focused on early-stage companies, where he worked closely with several of FusePath's portfolio companies (Marketworks being one of the fund's first investments). Kyle's general management background and leadership capabilities will be key in helping him develop business opportunities for Marketworks.
 Terry BruehlVice President, Sales & Account Services
Terry spent the majority of his 16 year career at Accenture where he was a Partner in the firm's global Customer Relationship Management practice. Terry was responsible for selling and managing enterprise CRM programs that created significant revenue growth and profit improvement for Fortune 500 clients. Terry led several early eCommerce initiatives in addition to developing new service offerings in customer strategy, online marketing and multi-channel customer management. Terry also developed and managed key alliance relationships for Accenture's wireless telecommunications industry practice and developed customer analytics offerings for that industry segment.
Terry received his degree in industrial engineering from the University of Illinois and his MBA with distinction from Northwestern's J. L. Kellogg business school with a concentration in marketing and strategy. Terry's consulting, marketing and customer management experiences uniquely qualify him to grow and lead Marketworks' Services business and Customer Management organization.
 Scott HamnerVice President, Product Development
Scott comes to Marketworks with 13 years of technical experience focused in product management and business development. Scott's expertise is growing domestic and international software products to meet customer, competitive, and market demands.
A graduate of The University of Alabama with a BS degree in Software Applications, Scott has extensive experience in the retail, banking, credit and hospitality industries, with a focus on inventory systems. Scott worked with MicroBilt Corporation in Atlanta where he utilized his extensive knowledge of point-of-sale applications and customer relations. He then worked for point-of-sale leader Compris Technologies as Director of Product Management. He was later promoted to Director of International Business Development, with responsibilities to expand international business and open an office in London. Scott's background developing creative solutions to meet customer and market requirements is a valuable asset in his role at Marketworks.
 Masami SuzukiVice President, Marketing
Masami brings a balance of marketing and strategy expertise to Marketworks. As the former VP of Marketing with Connection to eBay, An Accenture service, Masami also brings highly relevant experience and domain expertise. Marketworks acquired C2e's customers in early 2004.
Masami previously served as a Sr. Director of e-Commerce, Web Marketing and Sales for Real Names Corporation, and VP of Marketing with SpotOn, Inc. Prior to that, Masami spent several years as a management consultant. She served as a Senior Manager in Accenture's Electronics and High Tech strategy practice where she specialized in marketing, sales, and channel issues for clients including Best Buy, Sony, Pioneer USA, Nissan, Compaq, and Novell. Masami also held consulting and marketing roles with Towers Perrin General Management Consultants and Ford Motor Company.
Masami holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and BA in Economics from Brown University, and an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA.
