Designed specifically for the factory production Lancia Beta brass lockrings which secure front and rear wheel bearings.
Perfect for Lancia Beta-style rear retainer rings installed in 5-Spd Fiat and Bertone X1/9s from 1979-88 and Lancia Scorpion.
Works on both front (78mm) and rear (75mm) Lancia Beta-style retainer rings.
For use by 5-Spd X19 or Scorpion owners if applying a Lancia Beta-style retainer ring in their vehicle's rear axle hubs.
The factory production fitted OE rear retainer ring specific to 5-Spd X1/9 and Scorpion has been unavailable many years.
The solution has been to install the Lancia Beta-style rear retainer ring as it is identical except for location of its ring removal slots. (our part number 82280343)
Proper usage of this tool avoids harm to bearing hubs and prevents destruction of brass retainer rings that lock in wheel bearings.
Without this tool, the bearings' retaining rings suffer under removal attempts using common hand tools that usually waste hours of frustration and often harm carrier components.
For years, Fiat and Lancia owners have been forced to remove their retainer rings using hand tools.
The removal tools for Fiat X1/9 or Lancia retainer rings were very difficult items to find.
