This National R-115 RARE 1940s Black Crinkle Speaker, has a 6.8 Ohm speaker in it.
NOTE:This piece of equipment is a consignment item I am selling for the family of a silent key who recently passed away. This item is being sold as is as described.
This Speaker has a National tag on the front indicating that it is an R-115 Speaker.
It is similar to the MCS-8 NC-100TS, DCS-10, and the NC-44 Speaker.
This one is marked 6.8 ohms and does not have a transformer.
I have tested this speaker and it works great with receivers requiring 3.2 to 8 ohms, and an audio transformer can be used if desired with other receivers requiring 500 or 5000 ohms.
The speaker is in great shape with no cracks or tears and it sounds great with deep, rich audio sound.
The sound deadening material is also in great shape. The cabinet has some small marks from normal use and the grill cloth is a bit thin in one spot. the original feet are all intact and in great shape.
This is a very rare speaker and I have no other information on it.
I am very proficient in packing and shipping this type of heavy radio gear. I have been packing and shipping this type of gear for nearly 20 years.
The unit will be double boxed and packed properly so it should arrive in good shape but will be shipped at the risk of the buyer, for any damage not covered by insurance.
